Cynthia Jones

Stoughton- Cynthia Hope Jones, age 54, passed away peacefully on Monday, December 31, 2012, at her home after a courageous battle with cancer. She was born in Stoughton on March 20, 1958, the daughter of Warden and Karen (Erickson) Jones. Cindy graduated from Stoughton High School in 1976 and from UW-Whitewater in 1980. She worked in the business office for the Willy Street Co-op for the last several years. Cindy enjoyed painting and rosemaling. She was an avid sports fan for the Packers, Brewers and long time season ticket holder for Badger football. Cindy was very involved in her family genealogy and history and loved to read. She is survived by her brother, Terry (Brenda) Jones of Jefferson; sister, Linda (Don) Quam of Stoughton; nine nieces and nephews, Amy (Ed Simon) Jones, Lisa (Jerry) Peot, Ben Jones, Sarah (Scott) McDonnell, Lance (Nicole), Brenden (Amy), Cory and Shane Jones, and Paul Quam; other relatives; and many friends. Cindy was preceded in death by her parents; and two brothers, Phillip and Stuart Jones. Funeral services will be held at 11:30 AM on Saturday, January 5, 2013 at Christ Lutheran Church, 700 County Road B, Stoughton, with Rev. Scott Geister-Jones officiating. Burial will follow in Eastside Cemetery. Friends and relatives are invited to a luncheon, following the burial, in the church fellowship hall. Visitation will be held from 10:00 AM until the time of services Saturday at church.
