Cynthia J. Oslund

Cynthia J. Oslund, age 56 of Stoughton, died Thursday, July 30, 2009 in a Madison hospital. She was born March 11, 1953 in Janesville, the daughter of the late LaVerne and June (Cherry) Ellefson. She was educated in the Janesville schools. Her marriage to John Oslund, of Minneapolis, took place June 19, 1999. She came to Stoughton in 1994 and has been a faithful nursing assistant at Skaalen Home since. She loved raising her family and planning family picnics that were a great joy to her these many years. Survivors include: her husband John; children: John Brayshaw, Tim (Karen) Brayshaw, Leon (Keri) Lissner, Tamara Brayshaw, and Kenny Lissner; step-children: Connie (Jeremy) Moy, Karen Oslund, and Kathryn (Tim) Peterson; two sisters, Lyn (Paul) and Teri Punzell; and 17 grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents and son, Shannon.   Funeral services will be held at 4:00 pm on Tuesday, August 4, 2009 at the Olson-Holzhuter-Cress Funeral Home in Stoughton with the Reverend James Koza officiating. The family will greet friends and relatives from 2 until 4 pm. After the service there will be an hour of fellowship and food at the Skaalen campus clubhouse.   A private burial will be in Grove Cemetery, in Rock County near Footville.  The family requests that memorials be sent in care of the funeral home in lieu of flowers.   Olson-Holzhuter-Cress 206 W Prospect Ave Stoughton 608-873-9244
