Schneider, Cynthia “Cindy”

Neshkoro:  Cynthia "Cindy" Rose Schneider, age 66, found peace and rest in her Savior's arms on Sunday, January 17, 2021.

Cindy was born February 16, 1954 to Roy and Patricia (Steinhorst) Tolvstad in Fond du Lac, WI. She was a 1972 graduate of Goodrich High School and on October 6, 1973, she married the love of her life, James A Schneider.

A natural problem solver, Cindy’s creative mind was always working. Whether it was lovingly scrapbooking for her grandchildren, fixing something around the house, cooking a great meal or sewing Cabbage Patch Kids’ clothes, she could do it all. Cindy was an award winning florist, working for many years at Haentze Floral in Fond du Lac, Wisconsin, and later went on to own a very successful flower preservation business, Forever Flowers. Spending time with family, wearing out her Yahtzee dice, and piloting her pontoon boat around the lake brought her great joy.  She loved early morning fog, especially when “little fog funnel clouds” spun up on the lake’s surface.

Throughout their years together, Jim and Cindy loved traveling the world, including visiting Hawaii, Germany, and Ireland. A trip to Australia and New Zealand was especially meaningful as they were able to see the Southern Cross constellation and take in the endless skies ‘down under’. They came back to share the great news that “people really don't fall off the bottom of the globe!”.

Cindy served as a deaconess and secretary at Calvary Bible Church for many years. She started each morning in prayer and enjoyed reading through the Bible each year. She lived her life in a way that she hoped to hear "well done thou good and faithful servant" when she entered the gates of heaven. With heaven being such a big place, she told Jim she could be found in the decorating department.

She is survived by her loving husband of 47 years, James Schneider; children, Renae (Daniel) Werkheiser, Kevin Schneider and Lisa (Robert) Gracia; and beloved grandchildren, Maesa, Neely and Levi Werkheiser and Ivan, Alina, and Ezra Gracia. She is further survived by her brother, Mike (Jewel) Tolvstad; her brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Diane (Bill) Greuel, Larry (Shirley) Schneider, Eugene (Kay) Schneider, Jane (Dan) Twohig, and Shirley (Dale) Wagner; and many nieces and nephews.

Cindy was preceded in death by her parents Roy and Patrica Tolvstad.

We would like to extend our sincere gratitude to Angel MedFlight and Agrace Hospice in Madison, WI for their kindness and compassionate care.

A private celebration of Cindy's life will be held by the family at a later date.
