Daisy Mae Spilde

Madison- Daisy Mae Spilde, age 90, passed away on Monday, February 14, 2011. She was born on November 20, 1920 in Madison the daughter of Lee & Daisy (Fox) Pease. She was united in marriage to Russ Spilde in 1973 and they enjoyed over 32 years of marriage until his death in 2005. Daisy graduated from Madison East High School. She was an award winning swimmer, accomplished golfer, bowler, water skier and anything athletic. Daisy was employed at Douglas Color Center and a member of the United Teamsters Union in Janesville. Daisy was a walker and talker. She loved being involved in dance classes and playing cards. She is survived by her son, Doug (Lynn) Keuer, The Villages, FL; her daughter, Pat (Dick) Holman, Whitewater; her step-sons, Russ (Marianne) Spilde, Madison and Mitch (Jan) Spilde, AZ; her grandchildren, Katy (Dan) Bush, Craig (Leslie) Keuer, Trina (Ben) Heussner and Sara (Jeff) MacFarland; her step-grandchildren, Matt Holman & Greg (Danielle) Holman; her great-grandchildren, Nolan, Carson & Daisy Heussner, Karmen Bush and Kaelyn Keuer; her step-great-grandchildren, Andre, Thomas & Davis Holman;  many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Additonally to her husband Russ, she was preceded in death by her parents, brothers, Ray Simplot, Bus Pease and Bob Pease, and sister Viola Schroeder. A Memorial service will be held on Saturday, March 12, 2011 at 2:00 p.m. at the Tree of Life Chapel, Oakwood Village East, 5565 Tancho Dr., Madison. Memorials would be appreciated for Oakwood Village East.  The family of Daisy wishes to thank everyone who loved and cared for her. She will be greatly missed. We love you.
