Dale Schmitt

MADISON - Dale Ralph Schmitt, age 84 passed away peacefully on Monday, November 10, 2014 surrounded by his family.

Dale was born in Fountain City, Wisconsin, on April 15, 1930, the son of the late Frederick and Adeline (Ziegler) Schmitt. Dale is a veteran having served with the United States Air Force during the Korean War. He was united in marriage to Rose Marie Abts in Fountain City on August 18, 1952.

He is survived by his loving wife, Rose; children, David (Eddi), Paul (Lynn), Lawrence (Casey), and Sandra (Stuart) Baker; grandchildren, Aaron, Nathan (Maira), Sarah, Amanda, Rachel, Courtney, Nicholas, and Erik; one great-grandchild, Ezekiel; and sister, Marlene (Frank) Krzoska. He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Lawrence and Dennis (Judi) Schmitt.

A memorial mass will be held at 11a.m. on Saturday, November 15, 2014 at St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church, 602 Everglade Drive, Madison with Father Bart Timmerman presiding. Family will greet friends from 9 a.m. until the time of mass. Military honors and a reception will follow.
