Daniel Birdsall

FITCHBURG- Daniel Rhea Birdsall, age 67, of Fitchburg passed away on Sunday, September 1st, 2019 at home. He was born on January 29th, 1952 in Winona, MN, the son of Phillip and Mary Pat Birdsall. He married Beverly Glynn on October 26th, 1973 in Madison, WI. He attended Madison Memorial High School and worked for GCR tires, retiring in January 2018.
Dan enjoyed spending time with his grandsons, fishing at Nelson Lake in Hayward, salmon fishing at Sheboygan, and traveling the River Road along the Mississippi. He was a life-long auto-racing fan, and was interested in steam locomotives and trains. He liked watching old westerns, science fiction, and history documentaries with his cats frequently by his side.
Dan is survived by his wife, Beverly; sons, Ryan and Kevin; four grandsons; sister, Kathleen; and two brothers, Michael and David. He was preceded in death by his parents and sister, Patrice.
A visitation will be held on Friday, September 6th from 4-7p.m. at CRESS FUNERAL HOME, 3610 Speedway Road, Madison. Services will be held at the funeral home the following day, Saturday, September 7th at 10a.m. with Father Pat Norris presiding. Family will greet friends one hour prior to service.
