Daniel Buck

Daniel "Dan" R. Buck passed away at home on Tuesday, December 8, 2015. Dan was born on July 15, 1944 in Woodstock, IL, the only son of Ronald and Cecelia (Abaly) Buck. He grew up in Madison and graduated from Central High School in 1962.
Dan served in the US Army and was stationed in Germany from 1967 to 1969. He worked at Oscar Mayer for 50 years. Dan enjoyed his dogs, hunting, and fishing with family and friends.
Dan is survived by his wife of 43 years, Ruth (Ransom); sisters, Sally (John) McSherry, Jan (Phil) Lindeman, and many cousins, nieces, and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, sisters, Mary Lou (Cooley) Walder, Lee Phillips, and Kay Jacobs.
Friends and family will gather from 10-11:00 AM on Saturday, December 12, 2015 at the Cress Center, 6021 University Ave., Madison, 53705 with a memorial service to follow at 11:00 AM.
