Daniel M. Butts

Sun Prairie -- Daniel M. Butts, age 65, passed away on Friday, April 9, 2010, at his home in Sun Prairie. He was born on November 20, 1944, the son of Maurice and Mary (Clark) Butts. Daniel served in the U.S. Army. He was united in marriage to Diane Bittner on November 13, 1971 in Sauk Prairie, Wisconsin. Daniel worked for the City of Sun Prairie. He enjoyed coaching softball, watching stock car races and other sports. Daniel loved spending time with his family especially his grandchildren.

Daniel is survived by his wife, Diane Butts; his children, Dawn (Stephen) Raines, Dana (Chris) Norris and Darren Butts; grandchildren, Brodric and Kaylee Raines and Conner, Hailey and Sophia Norris; brothers, Donnie (Donna) Butts and David (Diane) Butts; nieces, nephew, other relatives and friends.

Funeral services will be held at CRESS FUNERAL HOME, 1310 Emerald Terrace, Sun Prairie, on Wednesday, April 14, 2010, at 11:00 a.m. A visitation will be held at the funeral home on Tuesday, April 13, 2010, from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. and on Wednesday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service.
