Daniel John Zanoya

August 15, 1968 — May 21, 2010

Madison -- Daniel John Zanoya, age 41 passed away on Friday, May 21, 2010.   He was born on   August 15, 1968, the son of Earl and Joan (Heibel) Zanoya.   In 1986, Daniel graduated from West High School and then went to University of Wisconsin-Whitewater, University of Wisconsin-Madison and Madison Area Technical College.   He had many passions in life...music, sports, animals but most of all the outdoors.   The beautiful landscapes he created will live long after him as will the love and skills he passed onto his nephews and nieces.   Dan will be remembered as a good friend who always wanted to be a better friend.   Everyone who knew him has a good story and a happy memory.   Dan is survived by his parents; Joan and Earl, his sister; Lysbeth (Bradley) Harris, his brothers; Eric, Bill, Jim, Rob and Randy, aunts and uncles; Kathy and Paul Greisen, Jack and Betty Heibel, beloved nephews and nieces; Zach, Mark and Natasha Zanoya, Clove, Catie and Ben Harris and Ella and Mia Zanoya and sisters-in-law; Lisa Zanoya and Karen Zanoya.   He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents; Earl and Barbara Zanoya and maternal grandparents; Elizabeth and Leon Heibel.   A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at OUR LADY QUEEN OF PEACE CATHOLIC CHURCH, 401 S. Owen Dr. on Tuesday, May 25, 2010 at 11:00 a.m. with Monsignor Kenneth Fiedler officiating.   A visitation will be held at the church on Tuesday, May 25, 2010 from 9:00 a.m. until the time of Mass.   Memorials may be made in memory of Daniel to Our Lady Queen of Peace School, 401 South Owen Dr, Madison, WI   53705, Edgewood High School, 2219 Monroe Street, Madison, WI 53711 or to St. Vincent de Paul, 2033 Fish Hatchery Rd., Madison, WI 53725.    Dan, May the sun shine upon your face, and until we meet again, May God hold you in the palm of his hand.   -- An Irish Blessing
