Darrell Lee Sheriff

Darrell Lee Sheriff, 62 of Madison Wisconsin, unexpectedly passed away on December 1, 2023, at his residence In Fitchburg, Wisconsin. Born on August 20th, 1961, in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, to his loving parents Betty Marie Tunstill and Chavis Beau Sheriff. Darrell and his twin brother were the youngest of 11 children. 

Darrell’s greatest joy were his four children, and his 11 grandchildren. He enlisted in the US Army in 1980. Darrell had an extreme passion for fixing cars, building models, riding his bicycle and let’s not forget his love for old school music. Darrell enjoyed watching movies, but his favorites were Lost in Space, Voyage to the Bottom of the Sea, Star Track, and everything on the Sci-fi network. He loved watching the Three Stooges. Most of his models were real life replicas from Voyage to the Bottom of the Sea, Star Track, and lost in Space.

Darrell enjoyed riding his bike through his favorite parks in Madison. Tenney Park and Brittingham Park being his favorite. These parks hold a special place in his children’s heart because they spent their childhood fishing and making memories. 

Darrell was proceeded in death by his twin brother Dale Alvin Sheriff, (sister) Kimberly Elane Sheriff, (brother) Shelton Lenard Sheriff, (sister) Carol Jean Sheriff, (Brother) Arnold Lorenzo Sheriff, (his loving mother) Betty Marie Tunstill and (his loving father) Chavis Boue Sheriff. 

He is survived by (brother) Tyron Chavis Sheriff and wife Karen Sheriff of Madison Wi, (sister) Loretta Riva Sheriff of Rock Island IL, (sister) Cassandra Reola Sheriff and husband Tommy Conley of Milwaukee WI, (brother) Paul Anthony Sheriff and wife Sussan Sheriff of Evansville IN, (brother) Kevin Dwain Sheriff and wife Clara Sheriff of Milwaukee WI, (son) Cameron Lee Sheriff of Madison Wi and his 2 kids Kayla and Jorden Sheriff. (daughter) Shina Marie Sheriff and husband Daniel Blevins of Antigo Wi and their 4 children Shiele, Daniele, Daniel the 3rd and Alexandria Blevins. (son) Cody Anton Sheriff and wife Estefany Sheriff of Dekalb IL and their 4 children Jayden, Jania, Isaiah, and Amaiah Sheriff. (son) Jordan Lee Sheriff of Sauk city WI and his son Shayne Sheriff. (mother of his first child Cameron Sheriff) Sherry Dietzman of Madison WI. And his lifelong partner (27 years and mother of 3 of his children Shina, Cody, and Jordan) Joan Bruckert of Sun Prairie WI.

Darrell left behind a lot of nieces and nephews, cousins, and friends. He will be dearly missed by everyone he shared memories with and remembered for his amazing sense of humor and making everyone laugh.
