David John Fritzke

April 24, 1970 — August 3, 2008

Stoughton- David John Fritzke, age 38, passed away unexpectedly of natural causes at his home on Sunday, August 3, 2008.  He was born on April 24, 1970 the son of Earl and Berdette (Wiesspfennig) Fritzke.  David was a graduate of Stoughton High School and the University of Wisconsin-Madison, for which he was gifted to earn the Wisconsin Governor's academic scholarship.  He obtained a major in both German and English, and substitute taught in the Stoughton and Sun Prairie school systems.  At the time of his death, David worked through the Greater University Tutoring Service, instructing foreign students in English.  His joy was being able to help many foreign students with their needs as they attended classes in the U.S.  David also enjoyed the many road trips that he and his dad took crisscrossing the states and also overseas to Korea and Taiwan.  David is survived by his father, Earl of Stoughton; his aunt, June of Arizona; cousins; and a great number of good friends.  He was preceded in death by his mother in 1996; and an uncle.  Funeral services will be held at noon on Friday, August 8, 2008 at Olson-Holzhuter-Cress Funeral Home, 206 W. Prospect, Stoughton.  Friends may greet the family from 10:00 AM until the time of service on Friday.  Friends and family are invited to a luncheon following the services at the Stoughton VFW.  Burial will take place at 11:00 AM on Saturday, August 9, 2008 at St. Luke's Cemetery in Elroy.  Memorials may be made in David's name to the Greater University Tutoring Service.  The smiles, laughter, kindness and companionship will be missed by all the lives David touched.
