David Hoel

Stoughton- David Martin Hoel, age 59, passed away on February 20, 2023. David was born in Stoughton on September 18, 1963 to Wesley and Ann Hoel. He went to Cottage Grove Special Ed school, Stoughton Special Ed school and Pathways in Madison. While at Pathways David worked cleaning the Red Shed. Then he came to MARC in Stoughton. David loved playing basketball and watching comedy movies. He liked watching the Packers and dressed the part. He always greeted you with a wave. David was so fortunate to be part of the Community Living Connections, he had the most wonderful care from the CLC staff.

David is survived by sisters, Kathy (Dale) Alme and Debra Hoel; nephews, Brett (Ann) Alme and Scott (Amanda) Alme; and great nieces, Claire and Taylor Alme. He was preceded in death by his parents.

A memorial gathering will be held from 2:00 PM until 4:00 PM on Sunday, March 5, 2023 at Cress Funeral Home, 206 W. Prospect Street, Stoughton. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to CLC, Stoughton MARC, or Agrace HospiceCare Inc.

A special thank you to Leslie Dietzman for seeing that David had the best care and the greatest quality of life. Thank you to all of you who were with him in his final days and thank you to Agrace for your wonderful care.
