David H. Meinholz, age 78, passed away suddenly on Friday, June 26, 2020 at home with his wife Mary of 57 years by his side. He was born on August 16, 1941 to Jerome and Lucille (Bernards) Meinholz in Waunakee, Wisconsin. David married Mary (Schmidt) Meinholz of Glidden, Wisconsin on December 14, 1963. David worked most of his life in the Ford tractor and implements businesses which were also his greatest passion and hobby. He served the state of Wisconsin DOA as a maintenance supervisor for 29 years. He was a religious education teacher at Saint Peter's parish, served as a Mass lector and was in the adult choir for 47 years. David is survived by his wife, Mary, and 4 children Robert, Michael, Gregory (Lisa) Meinholz and Catherine Wright, three grandsons Carter Meinholz and Devin and Kyler Wright. He is also survived by his brother Paul (Janet) Meinholz and sister Susan (Leon) Theis, as well as many nieces, nephews, and numerous friends. He was preceded in death by his parents Jerome and Lucille Meinholz, his brother Stephen Meinholz and his daughter-in-law Michaelyn Meinholz.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday, July 2, 2020 at 1:30 pm at St. Peter’s Catholic Church in Ashton, Wisconsin. Father Chris Gernetzke will officiate. Burial will take place in St. Peter's cemetery. Winn-Cress funeral home is serving the family.
