David Schroeder

David Schroeder passed away on May 31, 2021, under the care of Agrace Hospice Care in Fitchburg, WI, following a lengthy illness.
David was born on September 26, 1944, to O. Joseph and Ellen M. Schroeder of Madison.  He was a lifelong Madison resident.  A graduate of Madison East High School, and Madison Area Technical College, David worked for over 40 years in his chosen field of accounting, retiring in 2013.
He enjoyed photography, growing roses, traveling with family as often as possible, and especially his convertible car.
Surviving David are his two sisters, Joy Beck and Jean(Bill) Garvey  of the Wausau area, and his two brothers, John (Dorothy) Schroeder of Florida, and Michael Schroeder of Madison.  He is further survived by many nieces and nephews who enjoyed his company throughout their childhoods.
Besides his parents, David was preceded in death by his brother Robert of Madison, his sister MaryLou Hursh and her husband Robert of Minneapolis, and his brother-in-law Robert Beck of Madison.
The family will have a private celebration of David’s life, with burial in Highland Memorial Gardens.
