David Stone

Lodi: David Grant Stone, age 72, passed away peacefully September 13, 2022, at Agrace HospiceCare  in Fitchburg. He was born March 20, 1950, the son of Kenneth and Grace (Olin) Stone. Dave married Mary Kay Kasjaka on August 28, 1971 in Milwaukee. They recently celebrated their 51st wedding anniversary.

Dave received his BS from UW Whitewater and was employed as a design engineer for most of his life. He also worked with his father as a painter and enjoyed restoring and remodeling homes. Dave devoted his life to God and the Community of Christ church where he served as pastor for several years, then later as a High Priest. He was also privileged to serve as District President for the Wisconsin District.  At home, if you found Dave reading, more often than not he was studying Church scriptures.

Dave loved his family and enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren. When not working or involved at church he enjoyed fishing. David is survived by his wife of 51 years, Mary Kay Stone, son Matt (Mary) Stone, daughter Sara Ackerman, grandchildren; Jeanette Ackerman, Clara Ackerman, Samson Stone, and Jackson Stone; sister Ann Miller, brother Steve Stone, and Dave’s buddy Eldorado. He was preceded in death by his parents, Grace and Ken Stone, and brother, John Stone.

A Memorial Service will be held at 1:00 pm Saturday, September 24, 2022 at Community of Christ, 5110 Kevins Way, Madison, WI 53714, with visitation from noon until the time of service at the church.
