David Thiemann

Madison - David A. Thiemann, age 90, died November 1, 2015 of a heart attack. David was born on December 12, 1924 to the late Walter and Margaret Thiemann. He proudly served in the U.S. Navy during World War II, and after the war he graduated from Ohio State University. He grew up and lived many years in Cincinnati, Ohio before moving his family to Madison in 1962. He was a nurseryman and worked many years at the Bruce Company and also ran Springdale Nursery in Cross Plains.

Survivors include his wife of 69 years, Muriel Thiemann; daughters, Lora (the late Stu) Cameron and JoAnn (Ernie) Weber; sons, Larry (Deb) Thiemann, Dan (Bruce) Thiemann and Jeff (Nancy) Thiemann. David is also survived by many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews, one sister Doris Tepker of Cincinnati, Ohio, other relatives and friends.

David was preceded in death by two brothers and one sister; Ernest, Hubert and Neva Gregg, all of Cincinnati, Ohio.

Friends may join the family for a time of gathering on Thursday, November 12, 2015 from 1 pm - 4 pm at Cress Funeral Home, 3610 Speedway Road, Madison. Military Honors will take place at 3:30 pm.
