Della Mae Thompson

Madison - Della Mae (Marshall) Thompson died on November 24, 2013 at Agrace HospiceCare in Fitchburg, Wisconsin after a long struggle with kidney and lung ailments. Della was born in LaCrosse, Wisconsin in 1940 and grew up in LaFarge, Wisconsin, where she graduated from LaFarge High School. She attended Platteville State College, where she received a degree in English. She became a teacher and librarian in Neillsville, Wisconsin, where she taught her entire career. One of her greatest points of pride was being on the forefront of computer technology as it applied to student research and library science. She retired in 1996 and moved to Madison, Wisconsin, her favorite city. She is survived by her son Tracy, daughter-in-law Sheri and grandchildren Jake and Sarah, who live in Oakton, Virginia. Della requested that no funeral or memorial service be held on her behalf, however, if you wish to make any kind of recognition, her family believes she would appreciate a donation to agrace.org.
