Denise M. Thornton

Madison - Denise M. Thornton, age 55, suddenly and unexpectedly passed away on Wednesday night, March 30, 2011.
Denise was born on Feb. 17, 1956 to Clifford and Carolyn Roelke. She graduated from West High School in 1974. She worked at CUNA Mutual as an underwriter where she was also a union steward for many years until she retired.
She was a devoted mother, wife and sister. Denise's generosity to the community included 10 years as a volunteer EMT in Middleton. She was also an avid platelet donor.
Denise is survived by her husband, Daniel; her children, Adam and Brittany Eggers; step-sons, Joseph and Dustin McGill; her mother, Carolyn Roelke; brothers, Norm and Steven Roelke and many other relatives and friends.
Denise was preceded in death by her father, Clifford Roelke and grandparents, Bill and Dorothy Busser.
There will be a visitation on Sat. April 2, 2011 from 4:00 until 6:00 p. m. at CRESS FUNERAL SERVICE, 6021 University Ave.
There will be a Funeral Service on Sun. April 3, 2011 at 11:00 a. m. also at CRESS FUNERAL SERVICE. Burial will follow at Mt. Pleasant Cemetery in Lodi.
Denise will never be forgotten and will truly be missed.
