Dennis Griffith

Westport/ Black Earth- Griffith, Dennis J., age 60, died on Thurs. April 16, 2015 at Agrace HospiceCare in Fitchburg following a long illness. He was born in Madison on Sept. 6, 1954 to John and Lillian (Loring) Griffith. He lived all of his life in the Waunakee/ Westport area and was a past employee at Webcrafters for 20 years. He attended St Mary of the Lake School and Waunakee High School. Dennis grew up along the Yahara River and enjoyed fishing, boating and especially big catfish.
Survivors include two brothers, Tom (Carolyn), Gene (Diane) and a sister Joanne (Tim) Hicks; Aunts Eileen Pickett, Bernadine Lauber, Uncle Emil Lauber and many nieces and nephews and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother Mike, his grandparents and his best buddies Bunky and Skippy.
The family would like to thank the staff at Heartland Country Village in Black Earth for the care provided and friendship shown to Dennis. He was hoping to go home one last time, and so he did
A Visitation will be held on Tues April 21, 2015 at the Winn-Cress Funeral Home from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. At Dennis's request there will be a private burial.
