Devindra Bhagwandin

Devindra Bhagwandin, “Dave”, age 57, passed away at University of Wisconsin Hospital on December 21, 2021. He was born in Berbice, Guyana on January 21, 1964. Dave attended Berbice Educational Institute and New Amsterdam Technical Institute, studying brick and block laying. In 1984, he migrated to Trinidad and Tobago for work. There, he met his wife, Jasoda and had two beautiful children, Ravie Bhagwandin and Sashtri Bhagwandin.

Dave was a proud owner and operator of his successful trucking business. He was an adventurous soul and enjoyed traveling all across America, where he was able to touch the lives of many. Dave was a devoted Christian and attended Lighthouse Church. In his free time, he enjoyed playing volleyball, ran track, and loved watching boxing and soccer. He was also a talented cricket player and represented his highschool. Dave was a true family man who made everyone feel special, heard, and loved. He brought a special light with him wherever he went and we will all miss his contagious laughter, love for reggae music, amazing dance skills, and his smile that lit up the entire room.

Dave was survived by his parents, Ramotar and Chandrawtie Bhagwandin; his wife, Jasoda Bhagwandin; his children, Ravie and Sashtri Bhagwandin; his siblings, Savitri, Rohenie, Indira, Raj, Surendra. He is predeceased by his grandmother, Mariam George.

A funeral service is scheduled at 11:00 am at Cress Center Funeral Home on Monday, December 27th. Pastor Marcio Sierra Jr. will officiate the funeral service. The Bhagwandin family would like to extend their appreciation for all of the support and condolences during this difficult time.
