Diane E Campbell, 74 of Madison, WI passed away Monday, April 29 2019. She was born on March 25, 1945 in Manitowoc, WI the oldest of Herbert and Helen Rosinsky. She was married to Dennis Campbell for 28 years during which time they shared many great adventures, traveled extensively and enjoyed time outdoors with their dogs.
Diane attended Holy Family School of Nursing and worked in many different facilities throughout Manitowoc county. She returned to school in 1989 and received her BSN, after which she moved to northern Wisconsin and worked for different care-giving organizations in the Rhinelander and Minocqua areas. Her passion for nursing ran deep. A quiet and gentle care giver for many, she served in many different capacities and sought opportunities for both learning and teaching. In her spare time she enjoyed fishing on the lakes of the Northwoods but the long winters led her towards a move south to Arizona which she enjoyed for several years.
Diane moved back to the Madison area in 2004 to be closer to her family. She loved to cook, enjoying family dinners and making sure that everyone was well fed. A voracious reader, she passed on her love of reading to her children and grandchildren. She was a talented seamstress, always creating custom clothes and colorful quilts for her family. Among her other creative interests and talents, she enjoyed painting, sketching, and charcoal/pastel drawing.
She is survived by her husband, Dennis E Campbell, son, Ken Glaeser, daughter-in-law, Rhonda Bell, daughter, Janine Glaeser, step-son, Jay Campbell, daughter, Sheri Alexander, son-in-law, Matt Alexander, grandson, Ben, granddaughter, Zoe, and faithful companion dog, Xandy.
The family would like to express their gratitude to the caregivers who helped Diane with in-home care and the Agrace HospiceCare staff who provided loving care in her final days.
Gathering of friends and family will be from 11:00 AM - 1:00 PM on Saturday, May 4, 2019 at the Goodman Community Center IRONWORKS, 149 Waubesa St, Madison, WI 53704 in the Bolz Room A.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that memorial gifts be given to the Agrace Foundation, 5395 E. Cheryl Parkway, Madison, WI 53711.
