Larson, Dolores “Midge”

McFarland:  Dolores “Midge” Larson, age 94, passed away Friday June 24, 2022.  She was born February 26, 1928 the daughter of Edward and Helen (Raymer) Schmidt in Pennsylvania.  Midge married William “Bud” Larson July 12, 1952.

Bud and Midge lived many places while raising their family as Bud served in the United States Air Force.  Midge was a member of McFarland Lutheran Church, and the McFarland American Legion Post 534 Women’s Auxiliary.  She loved flower gardens, bowling, sewing and most of all spending time with family. Midge was a loving caring wife, mother, grandmother & great grandmother.

Midge is survived by her children; Mark (Olga) Larson, Matt (Lois) Larson, William C. (Laura) Larson, and Cyndy (Jeff) Williams, her brother Edward Schmidt, grandchildren; Christina (Eric) Schwartzlow, Lisa (Brandon) Mjos, William T. Larson, Jennifer Williams, TJ (Shannon) Larson, Jessica (Dwayne) Hassett, 10 great grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.  She was preceded in death by her parents, husband William “Bud” Larson, daughter Cynthia Helen, Sister in Law Sally Schmidt and  grandson, Steve Larson.

A visitation will be held from 9:30 am until 11:00 am, Thursday June 30, 2022 at Cress Funeral Home, 5801 Hwy 51, McFarland, WI 53558.  A funeral service will follow at 11:00 am.  Lunch following the funeral service at the American Legion Hall 4911 Burma Rd McFarland, WI 53558. Burial will take place at McFarland Upper Cemetery.

The family would like to thank the staff of Agrace HospiceCare, Oakwood Village Rehab facility and Catholic Charities Adult Day Center for their care and support.
