Stoughton- Dolores H. Osland, age 85, passed away on Wednesday, December 23, 2009 at Skaalen Home. She was born on August 10, 1924, the eldest daughter of Oramel and Lana (Denk) Stannard. On March 2, 1946 Dolores married Leonard Osland. After many years of service she retired as a cook for the Stoughton School District. Dolores enjoyed camping, traveling, knitting and crocheting. She was a beautiful seamstress and made wonderful things with her hands. She was a very active member of the Stoughton Senior Center, Good Sam Camping Organization, Wisconsin Campers Association and First Lutheran Church. Dolores is survived by her son, Harold (Peggy) Osland of Newark, DE; daughter, Roxanne (Tom) Hanson of Cambridge; four grandchildren, Tracy (Scott) Szmanski, Jason (Carmen) Hanson, Isaac (Shay) Osland and Dan Hanson; six great grandchildren; sister, Joyce (Duane) Johnson; and brother, Warren (Edith) Stannard. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Leonard, in April 2009; grandson, Shaun Osland; granddaughter, Leanne Hanson; and sister, Janice Rehm. Memorial services will be held at 11:00 AM on Wednesday, January 6, 2010 at First Lutheran Church, 310 E. Washington Street, Stoughton, with Rev. Richard Halom officiating. Friends and relatives are invited to a luncheon immediately following the services at church. Private burial will take place in Eastside Cemetery. Friends may greet the family from 10:00 AM until the time of service on Wednesday. A special thank you to the staff of Skaalen Home.
