Dolores Sirek

Dolores Mae Sirek, age 60, of Madison, Wisconsin, passed away, peacefully in her sleep, on the morning of Friday, March 17, 2023, at Agrace Hospice Care. She was born on September 10, 1962, in Ladysmith, Wisconsin, the daughter of Edward and Evelyn Sirek (Hart). She married Joe Kreye on July 5, 1985, at Saint Dennis Catholic Church in Madison. Dolores held a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from UW-Eau Claire and a Master's degree in Educational Technology from UW-Madison, where she worked for the Division of Continuing Studies as a Teaching and Learning Technology Consultant.  She was a proud member of the Hill Farm Swim Club (HFSC) and a certified swim official for HFSC and the Badger Aquatics Club. She enjoyed drawing and painting, photography, lap swimming, and attending Bruce Springsteen and Elton John concerts with her husband and family. But most of all she loved watching her daughters swim and play soccer and grow to become incredible human beings.

Dolores is survived by her husband Joe and daughters Sienna and Cerise; her brother Greg and his wife Lois; her sister Josey Warren and her husband Russ Warren; her sister Rita Reilly; her sister Annette Sirek Jones and her husband Fred Jones; and numerous nieces, nephews, and friends.  Dolores is preceded in death by her brother David, sisters Kay Sirek and Rosie Sirek-Love, and brother-in-law Ed Reilly.

A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. on Saturday, May 13, at Cress Funeral Home, 3610 Speedway Road, Madison, Wisconsin, with visitation beginning at 1 p.m.

Near the end of her life, Dolores became very fond of giving to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital. If you're so inclined, a donation to St. Jude in her name would be greatly appreciated.
