Don Tibbits

Stoughton- Don A. Tibbits, age 61, passed away, surrounded by his family, on Friday, April 6, 2018 at Meriter Hospital. His anatomical gift helped two people. Don was born in Ashland on August 22, 1956, the son of John and Mary Tibbits. He graduated from Marshfield High School in 1974. On August 9, 1975 Don married Sandra Linzmeier. Don spent most of his working career in the manufactured housing industry, including 17 years at PFS Corp. He enjoyed woodworking. Don's passion was his grandchildren. He was a member of St. Ann Catholic Church where he enjoyed ushering. Don is survived by his wife of 42 years, Sandy; four children, Shawn (Sara), Michelle (Tim Swenson), Paul, and Justin (Jamie Kurtz); seven grandchildren, Luke, Savannah, Kyle, Alex, Tyler, Santiago, and Trevor; brother, Tom (Janet) Tibbits; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, David and Doug Tibbits; and nephew, Johnathan Tibbits. A Mass of Christian burial will be held at 11:30 AM on Thursday, April 12, 2018 at St. Ann Catholic Church, 323 N. Van Buren Street, Stoughton, with Fr. Randy Budnar officiating. Friends and relatives are invited to a luncheon, immediately following, in the church fellowship hall. Don will be laid to rest at Roselawn Mausoleum. Visitation will be held from 9:30 AM until the time of Mass on Thursday. Memorials may be made in Don's name to St. Ann Parish.
