Donald R. Akin

Madison, Wisconsin -- Donald R. Akin, age 95, died on Friday, January 30, 2009 at Oak Park Place in Madison. He was born in Boone County, Iowa to Ray and Bessie Akin. Don's lifelong interests were riding his motorcycle and dancing with his wife, Virginia. Don is survived by his two children, Sandy Darlington of Middleton, Wisconsin and Larry Akin of Iowa City, Iowa; two grandchildren, Eric (Meredith) Gutheinz and Emily Gutheinz; and three great granddaughters. He was preceded in death by his wife, Virginia. Memorials are appreciated to your local hospice care.
