Stoughton- Donald L. Juve, age 79, passed away on Monday, January 16, 2012 at Skaalen Home in Stoughton. He was born in Stoughton on April 17, 1932, the youngest of eight children, a son of Knute and Cora (Hendrickson) Juve. Donald served his country in the Army, and was proud of his military service. On June 12, 1953, he was united in marriage to Ardra Pieper in Fort Riley, Kansas. He farmed on Tower Drive for 15 years, then worked as the Director of Purchasing at Stoughton Hospital for 20 years. He enjoyed family events, polka dancing, following the Packers, woodworking and crafts. Donald is survived by his wife of 58 years, Ardra; 5 sons, Donald, Jr. (Susan), Dan (Ann), David (Cecelia), Douglas (Teresa) and Daren (Crysta) Juve; grandchildren, Greg, Lynn, Kristen, and Stephanie Juve, Phillip (Brandi) Legreid, Heather (Andrew) Ace, Samantha and Ben Juve, Sara (Joe) Frey, Kyle, Austen, and Alexis Juve; a great-grandchild, Ethan Juve; 2 brothers-in-law, William Offerdahl and Marvel 'Slim' Zenke; and a sister-in-law, Beverly Juve.
He was preceded in death by his parents; 4 sisters, Ethel Bradley, Alice Lande, Irene Offerdahl, and Mildred Zenke; 3 brothers, Abner, Selmer and Kenneth Juve. Memorial services will be held at noon on Friday, January 20, 2012 at First Lutheran Church, 310 E. Washington St., Stoughton with the Rev. Richard Halom officiating. The family will greet friends at church on Friday from 10:00 am until the time of service at noon. Special thanks to the staff of Friendship Circle at Skaalen Home.
