Donna Fromm

Sun Prairie- Donna A. Fromm, age 72, passed away on Thursday, August 16, 2012 at Meriter Hospital, Madison. She was born on January 24, 1940 in Racine the daughter of Douglas & Gertrude (Dood) MacLeod. Donna was united in marriage with Gene Fromm on December 7, 1968 in Racine. She has been a resident of Sun Prairie since 1972 and prior to that resided in Racine. Donna graduated from Washington Park High School, Racine with the Class of 1958. In her spare time she enjoyed her involvement with the Sun Prairie Civic Theater, reading, jigsaw puzzles, computer card games and traveling. She and Gene love to travel by car, going to all 50 states and parts of Canada; the highlight being the annual fall color trip up north. Although she had many interests, her greatest enjoyment was that of being a devoted grandmother who always attended her grandchildren's events. She is survived by her beloved family which include her children, Anne (Bill) Schlei, Village of Lakewood, IL, Andrew (Carol) Schumacher, Sun Prairie and Carole (Mark) Larson, Madison; her grandchildren, Christopher Yerges, Kate (Nathan) Lyman, Joseph & Sarah Larson, Shiyalyn & Myranda Schumacher, and Rashaun, Raquel, Zachery & Taijai Timothy; a special friend, Dick Lock, Adams, WI; other relatives and friends. Donna was preceded in death by her parents, her husband on April 29, 2011, and a sister, Frances McGregor. A Memorial service will be held on Saturday, August 25, 2012 at 10:00 a.m. at Peace Evangelical Lutheran Church, 232 Windsor St., Sun Prairie with Rev. Greg Lyon officiating. A time of gathering will be held on Saturday at the church from 9:00 a.m. until the time of service. a reception at the church will follow burial at Highland Memory Gardens, Cottage Grove. The family would like to thank her doctors, the staff at Meriter Hospital 7th floor I.C.U. and the 11th floor Cardiac Unit for their wonderful care and support. In lieu of flowers memorials to Peace Ev. Lutheran Church would be appreciated.
