Donna Johnson

Monona- Donna Johnson, age 77, passed away peacefully of natural causes on Saturday, September 30, 2023. She was born in Crystal Fall, MI on January 1, 1946, the daughter of Clarence and Dora Johnson.

Donna worked in patient care, as a switch-board operator, and was a long time homemaker. She was a long time member of the American Legion in McFarland, avid passenger on Harley motorcycles, she loved to travel and was a social butterfly. Donna lived south-side of Madison for over 30 years, then moved to McFarland to be with her second husband and love of her life Jim Johnson. She lived in McFarland for over 25 years and was loved everywhere she went. Her love and compassion for others was her greatest attribute.

Donna had a silly sense of humor and was known to laugh so hard that she would have tears streaming down her face. She loved birds and could identify them by the markings on their wings. Most of all she was a mother to three, but a surrogate mother to so many. Donna always made sure that everyone was taken care of, and lived through many hardships in her life with a smile on her face. She was the rock of her family, keeping everyone safe, and she loved life to its fullest. Donna was the heartbeat, the strength, and the sole reason her family stayed so close. We will all miss you Donna. May you finally rest in peace with your loved ones that have spread their wings before you. 

She is survived by Son Kevin, Daughter Tina, Sister Lila, Brother Jim, and Grandsons Alex, Joey and Angel. She even was a great grandmother to Sophia. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM on Friday, October 13, 2023 at Cress Funeral Home, 5801 US Highway 51, McFarland. Burial will follow at Highland Memory Gardens. Visitation will be held from 10:00 AM until the time of services Friday.
