Donna Rung

November 4, 1940 — July 9, 2015

MADISON- Donna M. Rung, age 74, passed away on Thursday, July 9, 2015 at Meriter Hospital after a brief and sudden illness. Donna was born in Baraboo on November 4, 1940 to Donald and Ella (Bezucha) Harpold.
Donna was a 1958 graduate of Prairie du Sac High School. After high school, she worked for Wisconsin Power & Light in Madison. Donna continued to work there for 13 years until the birth of her son when she became a full-time mother and homemaker. She married Raymond Rung in Prairie du Sac on October 10, 1970. She loved to knit and made hundreds of baby caps for Meriter.
Donna is survived by her husband, Raymond and son Daniel (Paula) of Belleville. She is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives, and dear friends. She was preceded in death by parents and her brother Donald.
The family would like to thank the doctors and especially nurses at Meriter Hospital for their loving care of Donna.
The visitation will be from 4-7:00 PM on Monday, July 13, 2015 at the Cress Center, 6021 University Ave., Madison, WI 53705. A Memorial Service will follow at 7:00 PM on Monday, July 13, 2015 at the Cress Center. Please share your condolences at www.CressFuneralService.com .
