Madison - Donna Marie Ryan, age 74, passed away on Thursday, June 16, 2011 at University Hospital in Madison, Wisconsin. She was born on October 4th, 1936 in Homer, Nebraska, the daughter of Ralph and Ethel (Foltz) Bliven. Donna was united in marriage with Ronald Floyd Ryan in August of 1957. He preceded her in death on June 14, 1981.
She is survived by her sisters, Beverly and Betty Bliven of South Sioux City, Nebraska and her loving daughters, Ronda (Chuck) Schreiber of Spring Green, Renae Ryan of Madison, Rhea (Mike) Ryan-Whiteley of Waukesha, Roslin (Rick) Pribbenow of Sauk City, Regina (Jay) Wills of Belleville, and five grandchildren, Brienne, Ryan, Kinnon, Williams and Capri.
Donna served the community in the field of health care for many years. She was a member of Covenant Presbyterian Church in Madison, Wisconsin. She was a faithful and loving mother who raised five caring daughters, much of the time as a widow. She was a quiet woman who most loved time with her family, gardening and doing crafts with her own two hands.
A memorial service will be held at Covenant Presbyterian Church, 326 S. Segoe Rd. Madison, on Tuesday, June 21, 2011 at 2:00 p.m. A visitation will be held at the church on Tuesday from 1:00 p.m. until the time of service.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations to the Arthritis Foundation and/or the American Cancer Society in memory of Donna Marie Ryan.
