Donna Schmidt

Donna (Habermann) Schmidt, age 64, died on Monday October 7, 2013 at St. Mary's Hospital in Madison following a brief illness. Donna was born in West Allis, WI on October 11, 1948 to Chester and Anna Mae (Russell) Habermann. Donna and Ken Schmidt were together for 47 years and raised their four children in Waunakee. She was later employed at Marshall Erdman in Waunakee for 25 years and was a member of the Carpenter's Local 2190. Donna and Ken lived in Waunakee for a number of years and more recently resided in Madison.
Donna enjoyed her vacations from California to Alaska to Maine and bringing home lobster. She loved spending Christmas Eve with her children and grandchildren.
Survivors include Ken; one daughter Lisa (fianc�e Paul Savage); three sons, Brian (Stephanie), Shawn, and Keith (Ericka); ten grandchildren; a brother Dale (Sherri) and her mother-in-law Evelyn Schmidt. Donna was preceded in death by her sister, Judy, and three brothers, Ron, Bob and Bernie; father in law, Norman Schmidt, and a brother in law, Mark Schmidt.
A Memorial service will be held on Saturday October 12, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. at the First Presbyterian Church 5763 County Rd Q, Waunakee. Rev. Ben Ehrets will preside. Friends may call at the church on Sat. from 9:30 a.m. until the time of services.
