Doris Irene Mundt

Sun Prairie/Marshall- Doris I. (Tennant) Mundt, age 86, passed away on Saturday, , October 24, 2009. Doris was born on March 7, 1923 in Plain, WI the daughter of Dorr & Ella ( Reinfeldt) Tennant. She was united in marriage to Harold H. Mundt on Oct 7, 1944 in Marshall and they were married for 59 years until his death on February 12, 2004. Doris with her husband operated a local farm. She was a member of Bethlehem Lutheran Church, Sun Prairie and an original member of the Colonial Club ""Sweet Adelines"". Although she had MS she was always remained upbeat. Survivors include, her sons, Richard (Sharon) of Sun Prairie, Robert (Donna) of Marshall, Charles (Judy) of Naperville, IL and William of Freemont; her daughter, Kathleen (Robert) Serrahn of Sun Prairie; 11 grandchildren, 8 great grandchildren, 2 step grandchildren and 2 step great grandchildren; sisters-in-law, Mal Zins, Doris Tennant and Carolyn Wilcox; nieces and nephews also survive. Besides her husband she was preceded in death by her parents, brothers, Larry, Ralph, Jim & Herb Tennant, grandchild Cheryl (Mundt) Vander Velden. A Memorial service will be held on Friday, October 30, 2009 at 11:00 a.m. at Bethlehem Lutheran Church, 300 Broadway Dr, Sun Prairie with Rev. Stephen Mueller officiating. Visitation will be held on Friday at the church from 9:00 a.m. until the time of service. Private family interment will be held in Sun Prairie Memory Gardens. The family would like to thank HospiceCare and Haack's Tender Care for their care of mom. Memorials would be appreciated to HospiceCare, the Colonial Club or Bethlehem Lutheran Church.
