Doris T Weber passed away peacefully on March 18.2024 at Agrace Hospice in Madison,WI at age 97. She was born on December 19, 1926 in Atlantic City, NJ to Bernard J and Mildred Dillon. She was preceded in death by her husband Charles J Weber and brothers Jack Dillon, James Dillon and Bernie Dillon, and a beloved sister-in-law Lilian Dillon. She is survived by three sons Carl (Gail) Weber, Mark (Sandy) Weber and Charles Weber as well as 7 grandchildren and many great grandchildren, nieces and nephews as well as a beloved sister-in-law Ann (Mel) Senne.
Doris lived most of her adult life in Elgin, IL where she was a loving wife, raised her family, and helped raise a nephew Lane (Bridget) Schmidt, worked as a bookkeeper, volunteered for hospice, loved her dogs and her family. She greatly loved her annual trip with her family back to Ventnor on the southern Jersey shore for vacation and to reunite with her east coast family. She was a long time member of St Paul’s United Church of Christ in Elgin.
The family wishes to express their immense gratitude for the skilled, kind, dedicated and compassionate care Doris received from the many nurses, nursing assistants and hospitalists at Meriter Hospital, All Saints assisted living facility and Agrace Hospice. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you consider donations to Dane County Humane Society, Meriter Foundation or Agrace Hospice. A celebration of Doris’s life will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Sunday May 19, 2024 at Laird Funeral Home in Elgin, IL.
