Dorothy Cripps

Dorothy M. Cripps, age 94, passed away peacefully on Saturday, October 31, 2015. She was born March 9, 1921 in the town of York, daughter to George and Anna (Frank) Nehmer. Dorothy was united in marriage to Lynn "Casey" Cripps on June 16, 1941. She and Lynn farmed until 1964, then moved to Sun Prairie and worked on the golf course until Lynn's retirement. Dorothy was always busy planting flowers and doing landscaping. She enjoyed traveling and fishing.

Dorothy is survived by her son Gary ( Joanne) Cripps; grandchildren Steven ( Patty Gruber), Carmen ( David Buenzli) Cripps, Nathan ( Allison Edl) Cripps, Brian ( Sue ) Cripps; great-grandchildren Tyler, Maddie, Parker; sister Betty Brossard; and sister in law Betty Conlon. Dorothy was preceded in death by her husband; son Gale ( Vel ) Cripps; sisters Marie and Jerry and brother Lloyd.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at ST. ALBERT THE GREAT CATHOLIC CHURCH, 2420 St. Albert Drive., Sun Prairie on Thursday, November 5, 2015, at 11:00 a.m. with Monsignor Terrence Connors presiding. A visitation will be held at church on Thursday from 10 a.m. until the time of Mass. Dorothy will be laid to rest at St. Jerome's Cemetery in Columbus.
