Dorothy Lacy

Stoughton- Dorothy Lacy, age 87, passed away on Friday, September 18, 2009 at Stoughton Hospital.  She was born on March 30, 1922, the daughter of Arthur and Jane (Gorman) Lacy.  Dorothy was employed at Oscar Mayer for 37 years.  She enjoyed traveling, reading and knitting.  Dorothy is survived by her sister, Mary Thompson of McFarland; and many nieces and nephews.  She was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Arthur Jr. and Louis Lacy; and sister, Ruth Rand.  A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 AM on Wednesday, September 23, 2009 at St. Ann Catholic Church, 323 N. Van Buren, Stoughton, with Msgr. Gerard Healy officiating.  Friends and relatives are invited to a luncheon immediately following Mass at the church.  Private burial will take place in Resurrection Cemetery.  Friends may greet the family from 10:00 AM until the time of Mass on Wednesday.  A special thank you to Phoebe Baker for her compassionate care of Dorothy, and to Fr. Healy for his many visits and prayers.
