Dorothy Starr

Dorothy (Malone) Starr, age 85, passed away peacefully at home on Saturday, November 17th. She was born January 20, 1927 to Thomas and Julia (Therkelsen) Malone in Madison. On January 3, 1947 she married the love of her life Robert Starr in Madison.
Dorothy worked for Oscar Meyer for 39 years and was very active with the Oscarettes. She loved cooking, gardening and watching the Packers play. She loved spending time with her family and especially her grandchildren. She loved traveling and the road trips with her sister Viola.
She is survived by her son Charles (Kelly) Starr of Sun Prairie, daughters June (Jeff) Harrison of Madison, Penny (Jerry) Weisensel of Madison and Wendy (Randy) Cole of Deerfield; grandchildren Kym (fianc� Todd) , Lori, Crystal, Rose, Julia, Robby and Carter; great grandchildren Holden and Jayde; sisters Mary Anderson and Viola Ennis and sister-in-law Trudy Starr.
Dorothy was preceded in death by her husband Robert, parents and 8 siblings.
The family would like to give a special thanks to their mom's dear friends for taking great care of her over the years.
Services will be held Wednesday, November 21st at 11:00 am at Cress Funeral Home, 3325 E. Washington Ave., Madison with a visitation from 9-11:00 am prior to services. Interment will follow at Highland Memory Gardens.
