Vogel, Dr. Heinz

Madison: Dr. Heinz Vogel, born in Berlin, Germany in 1926 to Wilhelm and Else Vogel (Vohrer), died peacefully in his home with family on September 20. He practiced psychiatry in Madison from 1961 - 1986, a profession he loved and in which he helped many people. He loved many activities including skiing (water and snow) photography, frisbee, biking, hiking, and wood working, to name a few. He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Janice Russell, his sister Marianne Schreck (Hasso), his four children, Christoph (Margo), Karen (Roger), Erik, and Nicolas, his 3 grandchildren Sarah (Niko), Rebecca, and Daniel and his great grandchild Juniper. An informal memorial will be held at his daughter's home in Madison on Saturday, September 24 from 1 - 4 pm. Please call 608-203-6030 for the address and directions to the memorial.
