Duane E. Lange

Duane E. Lange, Waunakee, good son, brother, husband, father, grandfather and friend died on Saturday, October 12, 2024. He was 91 years old.

Duane is survived by his sons, Tim, wife, Kathy and children Joe and Ellie, Todd, wife, Gail and children Jack, Claire and Kate and Tracey, wife, Jean and children Maddie, Ian and Colin. He is also survived by his brother Ronald, wife, Dorothy.

He is preceded in death by his wife JoAn, infant son Mark, his parents Herman and Kay Lange, sisters June (Ted) Hoffman, Donna (Fred) Spaeni, Sharon (Darvin) Peterson, brothers Richard (Adeline), Hermie (Mary), brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law Bill and Pat Flanagan and Bob and Lois Ericson.

Duane served 4 years in the navy during the Korean conflict. He returned to take an electrical apprenticeship and worked as a master electrician for 25 years for Marshall Erdmann in Waunakee. Duane loved his community. He was on the Waunakee Village Utility Board for many years, Waunakee EMS, Waunakee American Legion and coached midget basketball. He was always willing to help. He enjoyed spending time with friends and going to breakfast with “the guys.”

His family is prayerful that God will send a choir of angels to sing him to his rest.
