Dylan Daniel Ellefson

Dylan Daniel Ellefson age 21, was tragically killed in an auto accident on Sunday, October, 24, 2010.   He was born on June 19, 1989, in Madison, the son of Daniel and Deborah (Dougherty) Ellefson of Sun Prairie. Dylan was a 2007 graduate of Sun Prairie High school and was currently a senior at UW Madison, majoring in Spanish Education.   He worked for several years at Sun Prairie Cable Access Kids-4 KSun-12 and    was also employed part time at Hot Topic in the East Town Mall. Dylan had a real zest for life and had a positive impact on everyone he met.   He is being remembered by friends all over the world from his travels as a high school student to Japan, and his study abroad in Spain. He recently discussed going back to Madrid to teach after his graduation.   He will be greatly missed by his family and friends and co-workers.         
    
              Dylan is survived by his parents, Daniel and Deborah, loving brother Brandon Ellefson, maternal grandmother, Dorothy Dougherty, of Ottowa IL, as well as aunts, uncles, and cousins. He is further survived by countless friends including his lifelong friend, Tom Kurutz. He was preceded in death by his grandfather, Jack Dougherty.            

              Funeral services will be held at St Albert the Great Catholic Church, 2420 St Albert Drive, Sun Prairie, WI at 11A.M. on Saturday October 30, 2010 with visitation at the church from 9-11.   Visitation will also be at Cress Funeral Home, 1310 Emerald Terrace, Sun Prairie,WI on Friday October 29, from 5-8 P.M. with a time of remembrance from 7-8P.M, when friends and family will be encouraged to share memories and stories about Dylan.   The family would like to thank the Madison and Dane county police departments and EMS unit and University Hospital for all their tremendous efforts to save Dylan.   A special thank you to friends, family and co-workers for their prayers and support through this difficult time. A memorial scholarship fund in Dylan's name will be set up at a later date.
