Edna B. Hanneman

Madison -- Edna Hanneman, age 87 passed away on Friday, July 10, 2009 at her home after a short battle with cancer.   She was born on October 20, 19 21 in Cavour , South Dakota to Clarence and Elvira (Johnson) Butz.   On April 17, 19 46 , she was united in marriage to Herbert Hanneman in Ridgeway , Iowa and they moved to Madison to begin their life together.     Edna was an active member of Bethany United Methodist Church , loved Badger basketball, traveling and attending summer band concerts at Rennebohm Park .   Edna is survived by her husband, Herbert; two children; Richard (Christine) Hanneman of Algoma and Betty Hanneman of Madison; two grandchildren, Matt and Mike Hanneman and other relatives and many dear friends. She was preceded in death by her parents and her sister, Grace Kecker.   Funeral services will be held at BETHANY UNITED METHODIST CHURCH, 3910 Mineral Point Road , Madison on Tuesday, July 14, 2009 at 11:00 a.m. with Pastor Brad Mather officiating.   A visitation will be held at CRESS FUNERAL HOME, 3610 Speedway Rd. , on Monday, July 13, 2009 from 4 to 7 p.m. and at the church on Tuesday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of services. Burial will be held at Sunset Memory Gardens Cemetery .  In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in memory of Edna to HospiceCare Inc., 5395 E.
