Cambridge/Deerfield- Edna M. Jacobson, age 92, passed away peacefully on Sunday, March 20, 2022. She was born at home in Whitman County, Washington on July 23, 1929 the daughter of Carl and Leah Johnson.
On January 3, 1950 Edna married Donald Jacobson. Together they enjoyed playing cards, attending sporting events, and being with family and friends. Late in life Edna enjoyed selling tickets for sporting events at Deerfield High School, and driving for RSVP.
Edna is survived by her sons, Michael (Julie) and Melvin Jacobson; son-in-law, Bob Hauser; daughter-in-law, Kathy Jacobson; five grandchildren, Megan (Scott) Hebel, Ben (fiance, Camille Walsh) Jacobson, Joe Hauser, Sam (fiance, Shannon) Hauser, and Letha (Myles) Wanstall; four great grandchildren, Macyn Hebel, Tyberius Wanstall, Ronan Hebel, and Olive Walsh; brother, Max Johnson; and many friends and relatives. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Donald; son, Gerald Jacobson; daughter, Annette Hauser; and two brothers, Edward and Glen Johnson.
Visitation will be held from 1:00 PM until 2:00 PM on Monday, March 28, 2022 at Cress Funeral Home, 201 Bue Street, Deerfield. Graveside services will follow in Deerfield Lutheran Cemetery. A reception will follow at The Rail House, 12 S. Industrial Park Road, Deerfield. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society. A special thank you to the staff of Home Again in Cambridge and to Agrace HospiceCare, especially Melissa and Grace, for their care and kindness.
