Edward R. Conrad

  Edward R. Conrad, age 86, died Wednesday, May 19, 2010 at HospiceCare, Inc.  He was born July 1, 1923, in California, the son of  Lyman and Mae (Severson) Conrad.  Ed was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church and a veteran of WW II having served in the US Army.  Prior to his retirement in 1985, Ed had been employed by Ohmeda.  On June 30, 1951, Ed was united in marriage with Mavis Flinn in the Little Brown Church in Nashua, IA.   In addition to his wife Mavis, he is survived by his son Kenneth of Madison.  He was preceded in death by  his parents and 2 sons: Ricky and David. A memorial service will be held at 2:00 pm Saturday, May 22 at the CRESS FUNERAL HOME where friends may call from 1:00 pm until time of service.  Reverend Ken Smith will officiate.  In lieu of flowers, the family prefers memorials to St. John's Lutheran Church or the Monona Senior Center.
