Edwin "Starky" Starczewski

Born on November 7, 1928 in Gary, Indiana, Ed passed away on August 24, 2020, at Agrace Hospice in Madison, Wisconsin.  He is survived by his sister Judith (James) Mostello, his children, Leslie, Russ, Paul (Deb), and Mark, his step-children, Jera (Rob) Sturgell and Steven (Lisa) Schade, many grandchildren and great-grandchildren, and good friend, Mary Hofstra.  He was preceded in death by his father Marion, his mother Casmira (Rozga), his brother Donald, his son Jeff, his daughter Sarah, and his wife Sandra. Ed was a 3-sport athlete at Tolleston High School in Gary, IN, winning awards in track and field and excelling at basketball and football. Camping and traveling with family brought him much joy, and after cheering on the Green Bay Packers during the ‘60s and ‘70s, Ed “crushed” on the Broncos after moving to Denver.  He was an avid bridge and legendary pinochle player at Lakeview Senior Living.  Many thanks to Agrace Hospice for his care and comfort.  A private memorial service will be held after Covid restrictions are lifted.
