Elaine Henry

Waunakee - Elaine Henry, age 79 died on Sunday Nov. 6, 2011 at her home following a long illness. The former Elaine Burmeister was born in Madison on Aug. 9, 1932 to Ernest and Cathryn (Doyle) Burmeister. She attended St James Elementary and Edgewood High School. Elaine married Harold Henry in 1955 and he preceded her in death in 2001. She was employed at the Wisconsin Dept. of Transportation for twenty years and retired in l995. She was a member of St. John's Catholic Church in Waunakee and the Red Hatters.
Survivors include her children; Jesse W. Henry of Weatherford, TX, Robbie (Debbie) Henry of Sioux Falls, SD, Tina (Jeff) Simanson of Madison, WI, Kay Henry of Waunakee, WI and Harold (Kari) Henry II of Plano, TX; 12 grandchildren, three great-grandchildren; sisters Lois Doyle, Catherine (Mickey) Chitwood; sisters-in-law Lorraine Burmeister and Margaret Burmeister. She was preceded in death by her husband Harold, a son Jon, a grandson Cory (Fish) Nonn, her parents Ernest and Cathryn, and two brothers Ernest and James and two sisters Mary Blaska and Margaret Imberg.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday Nov 10, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. at St John's Catholic Church 209 South St. Waunakee, Rev David Carrano will officiate. Friends may call at the Winn-Cress Funeral Home 5785 Hwy Q Waunakee from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. on Wed. Nov 9, 2011. Friends may also call at the church on Thurs from 10:00 a.m. until the time of services. Burial will take place in the church cemetery.
