Monona-Cable-Madison-Eleanore Louise (Krueger) Droster was called to her eternal rest at the age of 97, on Thursday, December 11, 2008 in Madison. She was born March 2, 1911, in Madison, to Oswald and Anna (Pollow) Krueger. She was married November 2, 1932 to Raymond A. Droster, who preceded her in death on October 2, 1984. Â Eleanore graduated from Madison East High School in February 1929. She worked as a secretary to Fred L. Holmes, Attorney and Author, until 1940. She then worked as a secretary at Immanuel Lutheran Church from 1948 to 1971. In 1972, she and her husband moved to Cable, WI where they enjoyed their retirement years. Eleanore moved to Monona in 1992. She enjoyed doing embroidery work, reading, crossword puzzles, and card playing, especially cribbage. Â She is survived by two sons; Ralph (June) of Milton, Florida and Kenneth of Sun Prairie; a daughter-in-law, Betty, of Lake Mills; a foster brother, Raymond Bowie of Madison; 7 grandchildren: Vanessa (David) Partenan, Bessemer MI, Timothy (Kris) Droster, Watertown, WI, Teresa (Michael) Grabow, Lake Crystal, MN, Christina (Keith) Moran, Denison, TX, Connie Hutton, Pace, FL, Clinton Droster, Cleveland, OH, and Tobin (Leah) Droster, Jacksonville, FL; 15 great-grandchildren, 3 great-great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. Â She was preceded in death by her husband; 1 son, Roger; her parents; 1 brother, Erwin; 3 sisters: Viola, Margaret, and Jessie; and 2 granddaughters: Vicki and Diana. Â Funeral services will be held at 10:00 am on Tuesday, December 16, 2008 at Immanuel Lutheran Church, 1021 Spaight Street, Madison. A visitation will be held at Cress Funeral Home, 3325 E. Washington Ave., Madison on Monday, December 15, 2008 from 5:00 pm until 7:00 pm and on Tuesday at church from 9:00 am until the time of service. Burial will be at Roselawn Memorial Park, Monona. Â In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Immanuel Lutheran Church.
