Elizabeth Jean Mindham of Madison, died at 3:11 a.m. Wednesday July 5, 2023, at UW Hospital Madison.
Betty was born September 14, 1930, in Akan, WI, the daughter of Joseph M and Margaret (Conley) Farrell. She married James R. Mindham on October 6, 1951, in Madison, WI. Betty is survived by her husband James, two daughters Michelle of Waukesha, Vicky (nee) Galarowicz of Waukesha and one son Gregory of Blanchardville; three grandchildren Amy, Kyle and Joanna, five great grandchild Colten, Emmaus, Xavier, Destiny, Gavin and sister Margaret (late Ron) of Boscobel, WI and many nephews and nieces. She was preceded by in death by her parents, three brothers and seven sisters.
Betty was raised in the Boscobel, WI area, spending much of her youth studying and helping her family and friends wherever needed. After high school she moved to Madison and began working at St. Mary’s Medical Center (now SSM) in the medical records department. Once retired she and Jim were snowbirds living the majority of the year in Central Florida.
Betty was a faithful member of the St. Patrick’s Catholic Church and the Schoenstatt Movement. She was always devoted to her husband and children. Together with her family often went camping, snowmobiling, traveled throughout the country and visited friends and family. She enjoyed getting together with friends to play cards, games go on cruises.
Visitation will be 9-11 a.m. Wednesday July 12, 2023, at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church Cottage Grove, WI. Funeral mass following at 11 a.m. A luncheon will be serviced immediately after the funeral mass. Internment will be at 2p.m. at the Roselawn Memorial Park, Monona, WI.
