Elizabeth Perry

August 18, 1924 — December 5, 2010

Elizabeth   Perry was born in Calcutta, India on August 18, 1924 and passed from this life on December 5, 2010.   Betty was a loving mother, grandmother, sister and friend. She was preceded in death by her husband Roger Perry, parents Ulric and Violet Chew, and sisters Rica Knowles and Sylvia Maydon. Betty is survived by her daughters, Linda Perry, Joyce (Andrew) Gonzales of Colorado Springs, and   Janet (Russell) Perry-Judd , her sister Jane Turner   and brother Ernest (Jill) Chew of London , England, her brother Patrick ( Nancy) Chew of Dubuque Iowa,   five grandchildren, two great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews. Betty worked for the University of Wisconsin in several positions and finally as an Administrative Assistant for the UW Physics Dept.    Betty will be remembered for kindness towards people and animals, her boundless energy, her wonderful sense of humor, her love of travel, and how she instilled those traits in her children and grandchildren.    Betty was much loved and will be dearly missed by family and friends. A visitation will be held at on Saturday, Dec. 11, 2010 at 10:00 a. m. followed by a Memorial Service at 11:00 a. m. at CRESS FUNERAL HOME, 6021 University Avenue. The family would like to thank Betty's close friends, Dr. Watts and staff, the care workers and residents at Sebring Assisted Living, and Hospice Care Residence for the love, concern and care they provided for Betty during the difficult last few years of her life.   In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations be made to the Dane County Humane Society (giveshelter.org), or the Alzheimer's and Dementia Alliance of Wisconsin (www.alzwisc.org ), in Betty's name.
