Ella R. Foss

Stoughton- Ella R. Foss, age 78, passed away peacefully on Saturday, July 30, 2011 at the Ellen and Peter Johnson HospiceCare Residence. She was born in Stoughton on November 18, 1932, the daughter of Clarence and Ella (Groven) Moen. Ella attended Stoughton schools. She graduated from Cambridge High School. On July 25, 1952 Ella married Leroy Foss. She enjoyed gardening and Rosemaling. Ella was a member of West Koshkonong Lutheran Church and was active in Ruth Circle and Women of the Church, a member of the WI State Rosemaling Association and the VFW Auxiliary. She was an avid Packer and Badger fan. Ella is survived by her husband of 59 years, Leroy; daughter, Marsha (Kerry) Krane of Holmen; sister, Sandra (Laverne) Hammen of Neillsville; brother, Henry (Margaret) Moen of Monona; sister-in-law, Alice Moen; and nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; step mother, Nellie; two sons, David and Dennis; and brother, Curtis. Funeral Services will be held at 11:30 AM on Wednesday, August 3, 2011 at West Koshkonong Lutheran Church, 1911 Koshkonong Road, with Rev. Richard Dowling officiating. Friends and relatives are invited to a luncheon immediately following the services at the church. Burial will take place in Riverside Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM on Tuesday, August 2, 2011 at Cress Funeral Home in Stoughton, and from 10:30 AM until the time of services at the church.
