Elmer J. Lewton, age 99, passed away on February 18, 2015 at Skaalen Nursing Home. He was born on April 30, 1915 in Stoughton, Wisconsin, the son of Stener and Ida (Offerahl) Lewton.
Elmer was born and raised on the family farm in Stoughton. His whole life was dedicated to working and running the farm. There was not anything he could not grow. He particularly enjoyed growing tobacco and tending to his gardens. Elmer enjoyed the hard work of farm life and fixed just about anything mechanical. He was a gentle soul and kind person to everyone he met.
Elmer is survived by his two nieces; Barbara (Donald) Peterson and Sandy (Richard) BonDurant, he is also survived by many great nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, brother, and sister.
Services will be held privately at a later date.
